As an apprentice, the first 5-6 minutes is genuinely making sure you’re doing it right so you don’t get told you messed up and need to do it again. Because that’s just wasting more time. I’d rather be slow and right than quick and wrong.

As an apprentice at one point and now a foreman id take the slow methodical guy over the fast sloppy guy any day if the week pace does not equal quality and is why our homes are built so shotty
