We flew two American flags at my house growing up. One from the front of the house on a flag pole and one hanging from the garage. Will never forget the first time my dad gave me a lesson in retiring an old flag. He served in the Army and I owe my love of country to him 100%

So I'm a military veteran, and I was also a boy scout, and I have a long, long love affair with our country and our flag. And I passionately believe in respect for and good care of our flag. but honestly, some people just get a little too hot and bothered about a little fraying or damage, And it's not necessary that a flag immediately get replaced Or thrown away, cause it's got a couple tears or gets a little bit dirty. Do I prefer having a clean brand new looking flag? Of course, I do. But some people are treating out there as if it is a felony offense if you don't keep your flag looking perfect. just relax, Francis.

I don’t storm in, but I definitely have gone into a couple places to let them know that their flags are in bad shape. I live in Oklahoma and the wind here is awful so sometimes I don’t know if they know or not.

I used to always keep 2 on hand for when I needed to replace the flag at my bank branch. Was always an honor to lower the flag to half staff too
