Lemon didn’t come to the shelter because her family fell on hard times or because she got lost. She was found tied to a post and abandoned. Left behind. And somehow, despite that kind of betrayal, Lemon is still one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She’s affectionate, loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has the kind of stocky little build that seems made specifically for hugs. She just wants attention, love, and a family she can trust. Right now, Lemon is being treated for cherry eye, but the ointment isn’t helping much and she’ll likely need surgery to repair it. That’s the only thing standing between her and a fresh start. Please don’t let being abandoned be the thing that defines the rest of her story.
