The funny thing is that RR Martin, based Jamie, Cersei and a lot of the other characters, especially Daenerys as complex villains. They were never supposed to be good. In the books, he was showing the lure that people take down the road to blind acceptance. That’s why people are so pissed off about Daenerys’ arc. The show runners changed enough to flatten the story into known tropes. Even the so-called good characters like Aria and Jon Snow have much darker stories in the actual books. The television series was a lot more misogynistic and 🍇y. I think the show runner is really got off on that.
