Your using the wrong oil filter wrench cup. Toyotas use a spline wrench, that looks like this.

I get labor cost money, but for 35 bucks I can get oil and filter from Walmart for my Corolla. The oil change place in the same parking lot charges 105 for the same synthetic and filter. DIY means the next two changes are free

Just changed my oil today and good reminder, the dealer had my oil filter at 150 ft lbs lol! Almost took hulk strength to remove it

For some reason almost all the plastic filter hosing are that hard to get off whether you perform the correct torque spec or not. Shocking it with a plastic mallet usually frees it up so you don’t crack the hosing.
