@evidenceeye: Pregnant Woman Finds Dead Body in Her Own Backyard . . On April 29, 2024, 34-year-old Steven Sanchez was brutally shot and killed at a residence on Princess Jeanne Drive in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the night after his birthday. A pregnant woman at the home discovered his body in a backyard shed after suspect Isaiah Joseph Rea, 25, walked back inside holding a gun and said "I thought he wanted me to." Witnesses told police Rea had been acting delusional and disturbed throughout the night, believing people were shape-shifters and that his girlfriend was communicating through other people's bodies. A witness had taken a gun from Rea earlier that same night, but it was reportedly returned hours before the shooting. Steven Sanchez, a father of two daughters, was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head. Isaiah Rea fled on foot and was located days later after an anonymous tip.
