The wave was never moving the ocean, the ocean was moving as the wave, and you are not separate from life pushing it into shape, you are something life is doing. A place where the whole of existence curved back on itself, became aware, and called that awareness me. Every experience you have ever had was life exploring itself through the particular angle that is you, your eyes, your story, your one perspective among countless others, all of them the same awareness looking out from different windows. And when this lands, even for a moment, the strain changes. So much of our suffering comes from the effort of trying to control a current we imagine we are standing outside of. But you are the current. You were never a person fighting your way through life, you are life itself briefly shaped into a person, here to experience what it is like to be exactly you, in this exact moment, before the shape changes again. You do not have to force the river. You are the river. And when you stop resisting the movement that has always been carrying you, something in you finally rests, because you remember you are not a thing life is happening to.
