We do isr swim lessons. They’re not always traumatic, it really just depends on where you go. We use the Goldfish school which I think is nationwide. And my 19 month old loves it.

Please please do ISR! First day I cried, kids cried, scary… but watching the lifesaving skills they learn and maintain, absolute best thing you can do

2 year olds don’t want a trophy though. They would be happy with gummy bears.

As a swim instructor, she can learn all the proper life saving skills and more through private lessons. ISR is not necessary, or helpful in building actual swim skills, especially once they have already had lessons to become familiar with the water

ISR saved my daughter. She fell in the pool while being watched by her grandmother just walking by the pool. She was able to float and get herself to the side.

if you have a pool or are around water alot ISR would be so beneficial. in my opinion the more knowledge she has in helping herself in the water the better.

Do the traumatic swim lesson. You will never regret it. Grandma here in Texas and I could not rest during summers til all the kids knew how to swim. Y’all are young nd active, just do it. 🥰

You should 100% do ISR! Our daughter did that for my grandbabies when they stayed with us for several months. We have a pool in our backyard and it was the best thing she did!

Private lessons 100% they’ll start with isr and then move onto swimming, jumping in & getting out, swimming underwater etc. this was literally one of THE BEST investments I made at a young age!

Taught swim for so long and what’s important is teaching them to respect the body of water they’re around, know it’s power and know how to be safe. Familiarity builds confidence to continue swim lessons and be a good, strong swimmer

Why do they need that? You don’t get an award for learning something new. You get the feeling of being accomplished. This is how it starts. Don’t make it a habit. The reward is finishing.

I would just keep doing swim lessons. My oldest started swim lessons at 18mths and my youngest at 6mths. oldest started swim team at 11. My youngest started at 12. they are now 16 and 14 on a competive swim team. Beside the point in swim lessons they gave them ribbons at the end of the 6 week lesson.
