So let me ask preacher, beyond John the Baptist’s baptism which preceded Jesus’ death and resurrection, what passages of scripture refer to water baptism after Jesus’ death and resurrection? You say water baptism exists and is a “good thing to do”. So what passages are you referring to?

According to the bible water baptism is for remission of sins. Water baptism in itself does not save you but it apart of the process. Getting into a car doesn’t take you to work but getting in the car is apart of the process
