You can eat large HEALTHY portions and still lose weight. It’s the calories. To make it simple, calories are simply a unit of energy, don’t use that energy? It’s stored on your body as fat. This DOESNT mean the less the calories, the more the FAT loss. If you want to maintain or build muscle, you need enough calories to get protein and carbs in to support muscle growth but also calories below maintenance enough to be in a calorie deficit. I recommend, for absolutely ANY WOMAN TO NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER go into a 1200 or below and I could explain why if you really need me to. Just aim for 300-700 below maintenance, workout, not just to lose weight but for strength and fitness, keep a positive mindset throughout this journey and the extra fat will come right off
