just a thought: if the map thing is true and it goes left suddenly to Noelle's house, maybe it's referencing what we did in chapter 4? That whole talk with her. So, we start at the hospital- Where we first made Noelle realize something was wrong after the whole thing with Rudy and scaring her in the hallway with her watch and then we go to her house, have the hang out where we equip the thorn ring. And now we're at the lake. If that makes sense? Like the connection is the fact that these are prominent places where we act out the weird route in the LW. I don't know if that was already stated or not though but this is a fun theory !!

I think Kris and Noelle gonna end up getting stuck in the code/the depths (like what’s implied to have happened to Dess with all of the messages in the code of each chapter). With the background of the gonermaker sequence at the beginning of chapter 1 being a body of water (like the lake), Noelle’s whole monologue about “being dragged down with Kris” and “going somewhere no one’s ever gone before”, and the “song from the sea” mentioned by Onionsan (once again implied to be Dess and/or Gaster related), it just makes a lot of sense to me. But that’s my theory
