AI will control the world sooner than we think. But this will not happen because of superintelligence or agentic AI. This will happen because of gradual disempowerment! In this video, I explain what that means and how we can stop it. Gradual disempowerment means AI won’t control the world suddenly. Instead, people will slowly start outsourcing their decision‑making to AI, and this will happen more and more until millions of people do it every day. In a few years, every single sphere of society, including culture, politics, and music, could be embedded in AI. Not because of an almighty AI, but because people won’t be able to make decisions on their own anymore. And no one is talking about this! So as an AI ethicist, my BIGGEST fear is that this is already happening today, how we are already living in the first days of gradual disempowerment. If we don’t act now, we will live in a world controlled by AI sooner than we think. So please stop outsourcing your decision‑making to AI! Read. Write. Think for yourself.
