I had a firsthand experience with Val Kilmer in an airport. Airline agents ushered He and his family in front of all of us in the security line at the TSA checkpoint. I was next in line and I was asked to wait so he and his two kids could go through in front of me. This teenage kids acted like typical teenage kids, but he was so gracious and apologetic and friendly and humble, he almost seemed embarrassed that he was getting this preferential treatment. I was completely indifferent towards him before that, but I always liked him after that.

He was a bit of a cock in real life to be honest I obviously didn't know him personally but I often heard that he is difficult to work with he was a bit like that on Top gun which helped the tension between actors eventually but not a good guy to have around
