Don’t listen to anybody else, it is perfect!!!! Style it with black high waisted trousers (bonus points if they have a sailor front), a white blouse, smoke black baby aviator or gold mirrored Lennon glasses, red heeled mules, and a a messy bun tied with a vintage gold chain print scarf. Make sure your lipstick matches your jacket.

i feel like it would lool less costumey if you were to dye the jacket a darker, richer red but i do love it!! confidence in wearing it is key with pieces like this. If you are giving "this is my normal clothes" it will look like normal clothes

I think if it was black or navy it would be less costume, def agree the red gives it a costume-y feel. That being said I LOVE IT AND WANT ONE

The red is making it too military. Dye it black. Go over the fish with a wash of black to bring out their details & pair it with wide flare slacks & boots instead
