why do people refuse to fact check!! first it's 1.6 from the feds and 1.6 from BC. Secondly this money is over the next 10 years, thirdly most of it is going towards reducing development fees for ALL af British Columbia, and fourth, they haven't bought any condos yet, we have to wait and see their plan. if it makes more financial sense to buy distressed condos than build new then it makes perfect sense! also housing was part of Carney's platform!

There is nothing wrong with the government buying new condos for less than the cost of building and helping Canadians enter the housing market through rent to own. If you are against the government helping people who are struggling to obtain affordable housing just say that.
