My dad was not an officer but his two besties were. We were also never allowed to have monogrammed clothes, backpacks and so on. No need for a stranger to know their name because it is more likely a child will go with a stranger if the stranger knows their name. We also could never go to carnivals.

You can monitor Roblox. My kids account is setup to where he can’t add friends, chat or anything. Just play. Parents have to actually monitor it and most don’t.

I’ve been on multiple ride alongs and stayed in the car unless it was going into the office or into the jail after the person was brought back in. I really enjoyed it but completely understand and can see why some wouldn’t want to/feel comfortable 😊

Kind of a different take. As an RN my kids always wear seatbelts, helmets, life jackets and are properly put in car seats. We don’t allow sleep overs. And absolutely agree on the Roblox. Also I don’t allow button batteries AT ALL in my home. Funny (Or sad) how our careers really affect our parenting. We’ve seen to much heart break. 🥺
