He is completely blind in both eyes, and after ophthalmology consultation, it was determined his eyes are causing ongoing pain. Despite everything his body is carrying, Stitch’s spirit is soft, trusting, and incredibly kind. He is sweet with people, gentle in nature, and continues to show affection even while in discomfort. Stitch will need an adopter committed to continued veterinary follow-up, including care for his heart murmur, dental needs, weight management, and surgical eye removal when appropriate. Medical Evaluation: Eyes could be managed medically lifelong but a bilateral enucleation is recommended in the future to relieve discomfort and give him lasting relief. He also has a grade 4/6 heart murmur, is overweight, and has dental disease—all manageable with ongoing veterinary care.
