Yeah I used like 3 different American banks when I first came to Ukraine. All of them said they would work in Ukraine when I called them prior to leaving, none of them will. I'd recommend opening a Revolut digital account, takes like 10 minutes and works just fine in Ukraine with apple pay and the like, good temporary option, just make sure you set your residency to a US or Euro address. From there figure out transferring your USD to your ukie bank account.
