MIYAMURA_EZUMI :
I'm a calisthenics athlete, but in my opinion, we don't need to compare calisthenics and the gym because they have different strengths and goals.
Calisthenics focuses more on body control, bodyweight strength, and an aesthetic physique. The gym, on the other hand, is more focused on building muscle, increasing strength, and developing raw lifting power.
Both have their own advantages. Calisthenics athletes tend to be stronger at bodyweight movements like push-ups, pull-ups, planches, handstands, and other body-control skills. Gym athletes, meanwhile, tend to have an advantage when it comes to lifting heavy weights, building bigger muscles, and developing raw strength.
So instead of comparing them, I think it's better to appreciate both. They train the body in different ways, and both can make you strong and athletic.
