CAN I INTERVIEW YOU IN JAPANESE? 🎤🇯🇵 教科書より会話で覚えた2人、渋谷に現る 🇨🇦🇮🇸🔥 Two foreigners who learned Japanese by talking, not textbooks, appear in Shibuya 🇨🇦🇮🇸🔥 🇨🇦🇮🇸🤝🇯🇵🔥 渋谷で出会ったのは、カナダ人とアイスランド人の2人。 In Shibuya, I met two young men from Canada and Iceland. まず、日本に何をしに来たのか聞いてみました。 First, I asked them what brought them to Japan. 返ってきた答えは—— The answer was— 「勉強しています。」 “I’m studying.” カナダ出身の彼は、日本語を勉強し始めて約1年。 The Canadian student had been learning Japanese for about a year. でも本人は、「全然話せません。」と言います。 But he said, “I can’t really speak Japanese.” しかし、その直前まで彼は普通に日本語で会話をしていました。 But just moments before, he had been speaking Japanese naturally. だから私は思わず、「全然話してますよ！」と伝えました。 So I couldn’t help but say, “You’re speaking it right now!” さらに、アイスランド出身の彼にも、日本語をどうやって覚えたのか聞いてみました。 Then I asked the student from Iceland how he learned Japanese. 答えは—— His answer was— 「あんまり勉強しなかったけど、ホストファミリーや友だちと『これ日本語で何？』ってずっと聞いていました。」 “I didn’t study that much.
