as someone who works at the equivalent of a local fast food restaurant, no. we close at nine and if someone shows up at 8:55, orders food and ice cream(it’s mostly an ice cream shop), that order will take us past closing to complete. it isn’t fair to the workers.

Girl when it’s right before we close then no we aren’t still making most food we are doing closing procedures and getting ready to shut everything down so we aren’t there all night we usually serve what’s left or certain stuff you have all day why come at the last minute

I used to work at Starbucks and if someone came in five minutes before close and they ordered something that I knew was gonna take more than five minutes to make I would just tell them sorry we're closed because I want to be starting my cleaning at whenever we close, not like after
