Reading some of the comments, I don’t understand how they can put a price on an item and when you get to the register they have to do a “price check” and the price becomes way higher?!? How can they legally do this??

My husband saw a lady ask if they could discount a pair of shoes. The checker said no. She explained she had an interview and she only had so much money. My husband jumped in a bought them for her. We thought that was the mission of Goodwill!?! They get FREE items. We haven’t been back and we will never donate to them again!!!

I don’t even donate to them anymore I rather put my clothes and shoes I those little houses outside 711 I’m not sure where it goes as longest is not goodwill , the other items I put them outside by the sidewalk

I dont purchase things that are overpriced. Sadly, goodwill is one of the least expensive thrift stores in my area.

same happened to a Thomas train I was gonna get and never saw it again 🥀 I hate goodwill.. I go to jubilee now days to because of that.. and the thing was.. the Thomas train was new in box from 2002..

That happened to me! I found this crystal vase for 6.99 and when I went to pay she called her manager and said that it was 24.99! So I left everything and haven’t really gone back. Boycott

I found a few other Thrift stores that are better than Goodwill. I no longer donate to them. I do a garage sale and make some money instead
