@lachiestuart: I've got a 12-month calendar in my office. Different coloured stickers for different things, work events, speaking gigs, holidays. The green ones are personal time, and they go in at the start of the year before anything else fills the gaps. That's the difference between men who see their mates and men who keep saying "soon." It's not about having more time. It's about deciding, in advance, that the people in your life are worth defending a date for. A phone call with your mates is good. Standing shoulder to shoulder on a fishing trip, out of your normal environment, is a completely different conversation. You don't get that by accident.
