I liked it. I didn't hear as a fight song though. I thought of it as a song for Ruthye. Kara wasn't just fighting she was saving Ruthye from the psychological burden of the violence.

this was my FAVORITE scene. it was like ruthye was a girl for a second and was watching kara fight and protect her and for a moment, she saw kara as a superhero, in the way everyone else sees a superhero, in the way that makes people become fans, owe their lives to them, build monuments. kara became the hero she needed to be and ruthye became the girl she needed to be. not rushed to becoming a killer with revenge her only purpose, but a young girl. kara needed something to stear her and ground her on her path as a hero, and ruthye needed to be reminded that she's still a girl, and young, sometimes in need of help from the bigger guys, with her heart and soul still in tact. that scene meant SO much to me

I liked it. The whole movie was about two girls struggling with trauma, loss and self worth, so the scene where those girls take their power back being overplayed with the message "Everything's going to be alright" felt comforting. Plus we were seeing the fight from Ruthye's perspective, so it felt like her finally feeling safe for the first time since her family was killed despite all the chaos going on around her. I get why it wouldn't work for some people, but that's what it felt like for me
