Thank you for the education. I'm still going to trigger the fragile males & tell them their vajayjays fell out.

We all start non binary and sometimes we choose to become non binary as adults.

there are case studies about rare cases of people producing both ovules and sperms. Like "ovulation in a cytogenetically proved phenotypically male fertile hermaphrodite"

I heard someone once say that a true scientist is more comfortable with a question than an "answer".

So, fun fact.... everyone who asks for "a paper" to read is a) not actually going to read it and b) only asks to protect their own biases and push all intellectual burden off of them. Google is free, please use it, all relevant studies are posted on multiple academic websites and accessible to anyone

Damn it's almost like biology is complicated and highly nuanced 😂

we don't all start female we just all grow in a space where an x chromosome can thrive if the why doesn't do its job because the cell surrounding us have already made that choice

The actual point of the statement means if there’s no interruption from the Y chromosome during gestation, everyone would be female by default, which is true

This was my favourite topic in my developmental biology class. I understand it's only taught at university level because it's extremely complex and requires a lot of prior biology knowledge to fully understand, but I wish it was at least mentioned in high school instead of teaching the oversimplified "it's XX or XY and very rarely some other combination" as if there's nothing more to it.

It was said we all look phenotypically female at that stage. 'phenotypically' is so important in this discussion and I fear so many people just don't know what means and ran with the rest of the sentence and it spread lol

I don’t think that’s what people mean when they say we all start female. They just mean the parts and how they begin before testosterone kicks in. Sort of goes along with why guys have nipples. Obviously we don’t all start out as literal girls it’s just the physical preset.

You also start without limps but if you decide that your arm doesn’t belong to you and you want it cut off you go through psych evaluation. 🤷🏽‍♀️

the xx and xy blueprint is the thing that matters. anything outside of that is an error. People with any sort of developmental errors matter as much as anyone else does but that blueprint is our natural state of our sexually dimorophic species

so the "there's actually more than 2 sexes" argument is in fact, bullshit. all those you just described are not the "intended" biological pathways, they are in fact, deviations that happen because something went wrong, doesn't make people less people, but it is not categorically the biological intention
