I don’t agree with this as I’m in a happy relationship and actually I’m a better parent when he isn’t here , because it’s one less person I have to think about, he’s amazing but subconsciously there is a pressure to keep everyone happy so when he’s away with work I have a lot more time for the children x

The dread when he came home was like walking on eggshells. 11 years single yes it’s been a struggle but a peaceful struggle 🥰

I completely understand why women are resonating with this video. Parenting in a tense, misaligned household is incredibly draining, and finding peace after separating is a very real relief for many. However, I also look at this from another angle. Often, the core issue isn’t that parenting is inherently 'better' alone, but rather that the parents were never aligned on their strategies, schedules, or expectations to begin with. When there’s a lack of proactive communication and an inability to see things from each other’s point of view, staying under the same roof creates a constant friction point. When a person transitions to single parenting, they suddenly have total control over the routine, rules, and environment. That 'happiness' and 'success' might actually be the relief of finally having a clear, consistent plan. As a dad, I hear a similar story from the other dads when mum is not around, just a slight tweak from another perspective.
