It’s so unbelievably wrong. It took me YEARS to find a doctor to treat my pain. I’m afraid if he retires I’ll be left desperate and without quality of life. But for now, my pain is stabilized.

My doctor who treated my pain retired 4 years ago. It has been agony ever since. There has to be a solution beyond this. Pain care saves lives.

There is an organization that is fighting for CPP. It’s the American Pain and Disability Foundation. They paired with another pain organization, met in Washington DC and were trying to get the attention of the law makers. They also were bringing attention to the doctors that are currently serving time for treating THEIR PATIENTS!!! Children with cancer are being denied pain medication. It’s a very sad situation.

Lupus medications take 3-6 months to begin working. I have been in pain since March 2025. Nobody will treat my pain.

This is exactly what my pain management doctor had to do back in 2018. He had to start weaning my prescription pain meds down. My pain is lifelong chronic, debilitating, and degenerative. I will never get better and my pain will only get worse.

I was called a liar and almost died. The er dr had to be cussed out by my mom to test and I ended up having a super rare pain disease. I never got an apology for getting sent home for a month with a doc saying it was in my head :( they also have a pain contract now and it’s super specific :(

I don’t go to the doctor for pain unless it is extreme. In my 20’s i knew I could get relief if I really needed it. I’ve been to the ER in my 30’s with unimaginable pain and have been offered ibuprofen. Pain management in the US is nonexistent unless it is hospice or palliative care for the dying.

My brother has been getting cortisone injections for 20 years/6xyear for failed back surgery- last year Medicare said the max was 4, even if my brother was willing to pay the full cost, so he suffers most of the time
