Have you considered that the USA strategically played soft to protect their team from potential injuries because it was a meaningless game, and Turkey played as hard as possible because, having been eliminated, it was in their players' best interests to make the most of their final showing in this year's World Cup?

The head-to-head rules make perfect sense. You do not deserve to jump ahead of somebody that you lost to based on your performance that you had with other teams

If you loose you deserve to finish below that team. That’s a perfectly reasonable rule in my opinion. If my team beat a another team and they qualified because gd, I’d think that’s stupid

So what a team does against other teams is more important than what they did against your team???? Head to head is the best and first tie breaker in every big sport. GD should only be a tie breaker if they didn’t play each other.

Goal differential is completely overrated. Punishing a team for potentially just 1 bad game is a little absurd. FIFA actually has it right finally using head to head as the main tie breaker.

H2H is way better. Why would it be more fair for a Türkiye team that played USA backups to get in over because the Paraguay team that played starters? Paraguay beat them. End of story. Also, when teams are losing, they are incentivized to try to score instead of playing for goal differential.
