I used to completely blind myself to happiness (and it’s something I consistently see in the people I work with too). They subconsciously tell their mind that it’s important to notice the things that align with their beliefs - which would be fine if those beliefs were helpful ones! But more often than not, they’re unresourceful beliefs that are usually lies - such as: ✨ I am not enough ✨ I get things wrong ✨ People don’t like me … and so forth! Your brain is wired to search for things that prove your beliefs correct, so even if you get praised 9 times, if your belief is that you always get things wrong, your brain will delete those 9, and just focus on the one piece of constructive feedback, using it as proof. So when we look at the neuroscience, it really is: change your beliefs, and you really will see things differently. And when you see things differently, you feel differently! 🙌
