“It’s meant to be a commentary on Labubus” But what’s the commentary? I’m not gonna open the can of worms which is AI usage in the design/creative process because it’s a nuanced topic that I find best discussed face to face and I’ve yet to put my complete thoughts into writing + still learning, but something about how she’s been addressing the recent concerns of scalping, now finding out that she basically just made Juju by reprompting again and again, and then saying it’s meant to be a “commentary on Labubu” and not explaining much further has led me to question the substantial artistic value of this Juju campaign. (Especially considering the scale of the campaign) What do you think? Do note that the “artistic value” of Juju in particular is what I was bringing into question, I’ve never doubted that the product could resonate with people or could be enjoyed. She is not the first to use AI in her process, what stood out to me is the *way* she stated she used it which implied that her creative decisions weren’t as intentional.
