Why do I have a feeling that he’s the father? Okay, this is probably just me being delulu, but hear me out. As we remember, the Tsaritsa has been collecting all the Gnosis from the other Archons. Most of the gods either fought for them or had them taken, but Zhongli gave his away surprisingly easily. But what if we never stopped to ask why the Tsaritsa needed all those Gnoses in the first place? So here’s my theory: in the trailer, it shows that she has a son who is sick, and maybe she needs the “eyes of the gods” to heal him from his illness. And what if Zhongli gave up his Gnosis so easily because he and the Tsaritsa share a secret… Their son. Of course Zhongli would want to heal his son too, so he willingly gave up his Gnosis to help save him. And during the Liyue quest, Zhongli acted really suspicious at times, which only fuels my theory even more. Am I delulu? Absolutely. Am I going to keep believing this theory until proven otherwise? Also yes.

hear me out, here me out. what if, the contract between tsaritsa and zhongli is zhongli would aid her in the last war against celestia that would be mean he put an ends on himself as the Geo Archon, possibly the Geo Throne. Ending his relationship with Celestia (remember if he really retired, there should be another Geo Archon that ascends yet no one took that position until now, he still is the Geo Archon). Another take is, he has other name, Heaven's star. he descend to Teyvat is a fact. The theory of him being the "Sun" of Teyvat means like the Three moon Goddess, he made a pact with Heavenly Principles to watch over Teyvat by himself while the moon watch over from the high. the contract he made with Celestia would end immediately if he declare war to them. that is what he means to end all contracts.
