I work in a vet clinic and we send out reminder texts but it's through an invoicing system that has the same number for all vet clinics that use that system... I'd have no idea how we can fix that 🤔

Fact check please! The fines were about spamming, not about the new mandated rule that only starts from 1 July. Businesses need to register their name with their telco provider so the Send From on the sms is not a random number, or “showing unverified” under the sender name. This new rule is not about fine; it’s ok if you don’t register, just expect customers to report or ignore you

Business still can send messages using real phone numbers. ACMA regulation is only for alphanumeric senders.

Its not compulsory if it doesnt have a branded name (alphanumeric sender ID). Depends on your provider as well. Twilio for example provides that to ACMA on your behlaf.
