Lately, I’ve only had one friend who sometimes comes with me as a companion, and even then, not all the time. I’ve learned to go through medical tests on my own, stay in the hospital alone, and see doctors by myself. That isn’t the hardest part. The hardest part is not having enough support during my health struggles. What hurts even more is when people don’t believe you’re actually going through a serious health issue and think you’re exaggerating, even though you’re genuinely suffering
