Honestly I think losing right before the knockouts shakes off any bad juju and resets the stakes. Now it’s winning 5 games in a row instead of 8 which is more palpable. Got to try a different lineup to see who played well and who didn’t which will help with substitutions moving forward. Everyone else is rested, Pulisic got reps in and clearly was a difference maker when he came in. It was a positive night overall. Just wouldn’t have stung as bad if they didn’t concede at that literal last second of the match lol

USA started only 1 starter. We obviously would have won if we played our real team. Poch did the right thing keeping them from any injuries, especially since we would have came first no matter what

He had 9 players substituted, it’s understandable, however he should have noticed the record against European teams, US hasn’t been doing well against them, and they will face yet another one in the next round.
