I’m currently healthy, great labs, no meds and fit, but my chart says morbidly obese, pre-diabetic, high cholesterol, low vit D, high blood pressure etc. Most based on one reading that later resolved. It’s a big problem

Words have power like spells. I’ve had patients hold onto diagnoses like oxygen. There’s a reason the placebo group is so integral to scientific studies. The power of belief typically outshines whatever it’s up against.

I’m almost 53 years old and was diagnosed hypothyroidism 2-3 years ago. Asked my doctor what was the cause and she said it’s usually hereditary. She asked if it runs in my family. I told her no. She didn’t discuss it any further than that.

And the fix might be better diet, exercise, more sleep and lower stress. A vegetarian diet, eliminate dairy, cut out the sugar, rigorous exercise 30+ minutes a day on average, 7.5 hours of sleep does wonders for me. And if it does not help you, at least your overall health will improve.

The news is actually really important because if we have a flareup, we end up in the emergency room we need something to validate us and they need to know that we need to be treated differently for certain reasons

I constantly ask my Dr about whats wrong. They run a few tests and go no further. Just had surgery for a new shoulder. Dr saw I was very anemic. The SURGEON dug and found my ferritin is 16 and I’m malnourished!!!!!!!
