If a Christian dies in sin… can they still enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Some people say, “Once you believe, you’re saved forever.” But Jesus said: “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3) So which one is true? Here is the truth— and most people don’t want to hear it: Your definition of repentance is wrong. You think repentance is crying, feeling guilty, saying sorry. No. That is remorse. Repentance means a change of mind that leads to a change of direction. Look at David. Look at Nineveh. They didn’t just feel bad— they stopped doing evil. True repentance is not a moment. It is a changed life. There is a difference between being called and being chosen. (Matthew 22:14) Let me make this simple. Imagine I adopt a child. The judge signs the papers— the child enters my home. That is grace. But a week later, the child steals, rebels, and refuses to change. Then says: “I’m a son. I can do whatever I want.” Now listen to Jesus: “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin… And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.” (John 8:34–35) If you continue in sin without change— you are not living as a son. You are living as a slave. And a slave does not remain in the house. This is where many people are deceived. They claim grace— but refuse transformation. God is holy. He will not allow sin into heaven under the excuse of “grace.” Forgiveness is not permission to sin. It is power to walk in holiness. So how do you stop? Jesus said: “When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13) You cannot do this alone. Freedom from sin does not come from willpower. It comes from the Spirit of truth working in you. And right now—be honest— you know if this is you. You know if you’re still holding on to sin. This is not to condemn you. This is a warning… in love. Because one day, you will stand before God. And He will not ask: What church did you go to? How many sermons did you hear? How many verses did you memorize? He will look at your life: Did you repent? Did you turn away from sin? Did you do the will of God? The door of grace is still open. But it will not stay open forever. If this is speaking to you—don’t ignore it. Someone close to you is not ready— send this to them. Are you willing to spend one hour in God’s Word? Join us. Learn what true repentance really is— and how to be set free from sin.
