Transcript of the Voice Note: "Good evening, Board Members. This is to give you an update on the situation here in Mankon, Bamenda. > "It appears the teacher Clarence our former DM was involved in a case relating to questions and answers for the French paper written in the morning, and also for Literature. Superintendents say they caught one student with the material. While another French paper was being written, he went into one of the halls and dropped an answer sheet in front of a student. > > "He was taken in for questioning by the superintendents and the Principal. During questioning, he stated that he was part of a WhatsApp group of about 700 persons, and someone had sent the questions to him. And the questions were reportedly the same as the GCE French paper that was written. A special report was prepared and attached on the two cases that were caught. > > "We agreed that questioning him on campus would not yield much. The Principal was asked to collect Clarence’s phone because he was moving around and could delete the group and contacts. > > "While I was on a call with the Commissioner at GMI, Clarence, who was in the Principal’s office, saw me and took advantage of the distraction. He opened the Principal’s drawer, took his phone, and started running. We shouted for the gate to be locked, but he pushed through and escaped. Students ran after him. > > "He ran towards the junction and met police officers from GMI who were arriving at that time. He was eventually apprehended and taken to GMI. I went there with the Principal this evening. Unfortunately, Clarence had destroyed the phone he took from the Principal’s office. The GCE Board was also present this evening and took the phone to be repaired. > > "For now, the case file we will attach consists of the answer sheets that were distributed, which appear to be in his handwriting.
