trying to have a pretty journal is what stopped me from actually getting into journaling once i decided that it can be messy was when i actually started writing my thoughts are messy therefore is the place i express them in what i write is supposed to be let out not collected or reread

when I was 3.teen I used to write or journal almost everyday but now I realized that it somehow became a trend and I got influenced by tiktok/Pinterest that it's "supposed to look aesthetic and clean" and I kinda stopped journaling even tho I would love to restart again and just dgaf about how it looks. 😞
