1 who is doing this, 2 they are supposed to take the damage so your phone doesn’t, when the screen protector doesn’t take the shock it will go through and into the phone essentially breaking the phone and not the protector

@Michael_jackson: Yes, but tempered glass protectors are meant to crack and absorb part of the impact, kind of like a car’s crumple zone. If a screen protector is too rigid and doesn’t absorb any energy, it can transfer more of the force to the phone itself. Being “unbreakable” doesn’t automatically mean it protects the screen better.
