My husband is invited to a wedding with his online trivia friends. No significant others are going. I have never been more okay with a lack of invite in my life.

I think it depends on what the type of relationship is like you said. Like if somebody’s married, then out of respect, I am giving them a plus one. However, if somebody has a boyfriend of three months that I have never met, that’s not necessarily requiring a plus one for me. 🤷🏽♀️

one of my friends said she doesn't know me so well to invite me to her wedding. I said ok. not a year later she wanted me to find her man a job at my company. I said I don't know her or her man. we don't talk anymore 😂

I was uninvited to a destination wedding because I insisted on bringing my partner to the destination with me. He wasn't going to come to the actual wedding, just the 7 day all-inclusive vacation part. She intended on me sharing a room with one of her single friends I've never even met. I'm not sharing a room with a complete stranger, and I'm not leaving my partner out of a 7 day vacation. Even if he didn't want to come, I wasn't going to share a room with her friend who I've never met. So I was uninvited for being difficult and we ended up going to a better all-inclusive in the same area. I made sure to post lots of pics of our vacation.

had an ex coworker that I THOUGHT was a friend tell me that shes only inviting friends n family to her wedding.Didnt stop her from sending everyone at work her wedding registry.n when she made a comment about no one from work getting anything for her I said "I only buy wedding gifts for friends and family"😁

One of my best friends, like a little sister, had her backyard wedding last summer. She did not offer me a plus one. I inquired about it, and she said that she was trying to keep it small so she didn’t offer anyone +ones. This made sense to me, so I travelled to a different city by myself and attended the wedding. When I got there, there was not one single person at this wedding besides me. In fact, another friend of ours, who had just started dating a guy, brought him. When I asked again about this, her response was “oh yeah some people got upset that they didn’t get a plus one so I just said OK whatever“ 🥺 Sooo…that sucked.

I also would NEVER attend a wedding alone. That would literally be my nightmare and I just wouldn't go.

I wanted my work friend to be at our wedding so I invited her AND her husband even though I had never met him. Turns out he’s a great guy and they had a blast.

My take is: if the relationship is under a year, you don’t get a +1. If this is your 4th “they are my world” in the last year, you don’t get a +1.

I wanted the friends I invited to my wedding to have a good time & there was a much better chance that would happen if their partners were with them. So yeah, I had a few strangers at my wedding. No big deal. 🤷♀️

If my husband isn’t going, I’m not going either. Have the wedding that you want. That’s fine. But if this information wasn’t disclosed beforehand and I gave you a gift at a shower, we are done. You no longer exist. This is why I stopped going to people’s events.
