me and my BFF were 63 years friends. She has gone now, and I miss her so much. you dont get angry at each other. People have different opinions and you let things ride. you be there for them when they need you even if it means canceling a family dinner. I tended to all her babies when they were little and she needed help. she was there for me when I needed her. you laugh until you cant laugh anymore but you laugh until tears are rolling of your face and your stomach hurts. her husband would say we were both crazy. maybe we were. we did silly things together. we laughed and cried together. we loved each other in good times and in bad. we stood beside each other even when we didn't angry. it is just what we did. in sickness and in health and believe me we both went through a lot health wise. love each other no matter what.❤️

I had a school reunion back in my home town of edenderry in Co . offaly in Ireland, some of the lads I had seen in 50yrs , it was the class of 1975 I haven't been back in my mother passed away in 2009 , 17 yrs .

I know no one will read this... I had a friend once. We met in Grade 6 when I was the new kid. We had been through a lot together; even graduating. We could spend hours talking on the phone, FaceTiming while playing Facebook Uno, and playing basketball together. Drives, sessions, and we of course partied together. She had a boyfriend, and they went through their ups and downs. I never left her side through any of it. Then life changed. I became a single mother at 18 and stayed single for 5 years before eventually meeting my husband. When I shared that we were thinking about building a life together, something shifted. It felt like she wanted the version of me from before I had my child, the girl I used to be. She disappeared from my life without a word or an explanation. No closure. Nothing. Now, whenever she sees me, it's always, "Oh my God, it's been so long," as if there were never any unanswered questions left behind...

My Aunt and her best friend have the exact same birthday in 1944. This met in school at 4 and are best friends ever since. They go on holidays together every year with their other best friend who lives about 100 miles away but they live down the road from each other and the friend comes for her dinner every Sunday and my Ma too.

When I was getting divorced, my friend was just getting engaged. The stark difference in our realities pushed us apart, she said I was too negative (I was hurting) and ultimately avoided seeing me for those months that I was separating and suffering. I never forgave her for abandoning me during the darkest, most difficult time of my life, and I had to let her go.

We both went out with the same boys . I married my boyfriend but she and hers split up that was a long time ago I as 18 I’m now 71 we see each other once a week and I still get excited when I’m going to meet her. She knows everything about me. I couldn’t ask for a better friend . She is my Anchor . We’ve been through and awful lot not all good but she has been through it all with me. But it's still okay to dislike the person your friend has become and not want to be friends with them anymore. Forcing a friendship with someone just because you want it to last is harmful. I ended a friendship with someone I'd been friends with for 30 years. I loved her before, but as the years passed, we had less and less in common, until it got to the point where I knew that if I met her now, the way she was, I would never have become friends with her.

Unconditional love and support. Keep judgments to yourself unless they are helpful and not hurtful. Show up during the hard times not just good. You don’t need to be asked, you just show up and listen. You don’t needed much more than this in my opinion. I have multiple life long friendships that I’m blessed with. If I think about why I love them so deeply and our friendship have lasted over all these years, this is why. They never asked or needed me to be anything but myself in any moment, difficult or fabulous, they love me unconditionally. What more could you want in a relationship.
