First of all, even though it’s not official, it has always been abundantly clear that the US is the primary host of this tournament. Second, Canada has the worst stadiums in this tournament and you expect them to put three games in both the round of 32 and 16 in Canada just to guarantee they get a home game? Do we put three round of 16 games in Mexico too? That would only leave two round of 16 games to be hosted in the US. Do you see how this doesn’t really work? The US is the primary host, that’s where the stadiums are, and Canada had their path, but weren’t able to take it.

I don't buy this argument because if Canada finished third and still advanced people would still be complaining. And at that point there's not even enough stadiums in Canada to host...

:so what happens if Mexico, USA and Canada all make the semis? someone's having to play away, they knew if they didn't win there group they'd play away, USA is the main host unfortunately as that's how it's been all build up and tournament

Mexico and Canada should have got a semi each and should both have had their potential paths on home soil for as far as was possible. Granted the 3rd place route might have proven difficult.

What’s so hard for you guys to understand, Mexico and Canada are co hosts and America is the main host. America could have won this bid by themselves and none of this would be an issue but allowed Canada and Mexico along because neither of them can afford to host. Co do not mean equal in this situation and it never has.

Thing is it's really difficult to schedule many knock out games in Canada when we only have 2 cities as host. I guess team that ended second could maybe play in Toronto for the round of 32 but 8 think the idea may have been scraped due to the amount of seats.

If they didn’t want to give Canada more games they could have had 1st and 2nd play on the same day in stadiums relatively close then make a new rule, if Canada finish 2nd they still get the 7pm game (or whatever it is) and 1st get the 4pm game. It’s more of a stuff around but still allows them to get the home game which host nations should have.

Look as a Canadian I dont think we really have the stadiums to logistically host passed the Quarters but yes we should've gotten more and Mexico definetely should have a semi at the Azteca at the very least.

When you have 3 different hosts, this gets complicated. They are the only of the 3 hosts not to win their group. They still played 3 World Cup matches at home and there are MANY Canadians in the US already. They will be very well represented. They’ll be fine

I blame Montreal for not hosting because they didn't want to pay to renovate their stadium and then just doing it anyways, if there were 3 Canadian host cities maybe this wouldn't have happened
