knowing who the real tom is in this situation is lowkey the biggest issue. if you can see six toms and you know One of them is real and the other five are evil AI versions, and they're All insisting to you that they're the real one, then the problem becomes do you save five toms (statistically more likely to include the real tom) or just one (less likely to be the real tom, but even if it is an AI tom it would still claim to be him. no copies, less room for consequences)
