@growingupabroad: This Sacred Place is where miracles happen! 🌍 The Mosta Rotunda is the largest church in Malta and is one of the largest unsupported domes in the world! 🤩 Originally modelled after the Pantheon in Rome, the rotunda's dome has an outside diameter of almost 57 meters or 187 feet wide and holds a hidden secret inside. 🤔 Known as the 'Miracle Church' because of what happened during WW2, the church took two direct hits from a bombing raid; one bounced off, but the other one penetrated the domed roof and onto more than 200 people gathered inside. 😳 The miracle is that the bomb never went off, and no one was injured or killed. 🙏 If you're visiting the Maltese islands, make sure to check out the village of Mosta and visit the Mosta Rotunda for an amazing experience and a heart warming true story. 😉👍🌍

Yes, I know this miraculous story very well. When I visited Malta for the first time from Australia with my Maltese parents, we made a special trip to the church where this miracle took place. They shared the incredible story with me, and I remember my mum explaining that the people attending Mass had been praying earnestly for a miracle. It was a deeply moving experience to stand in that sacred place, knowing the faith and hope that so many people had carried with them. It made the story even more meaningful and unforgettable for me. 🥰
