Agree, she shoots too much and is streaky. She was use to being the spotlight of the team , then when Paige came along she doesn’t seem to consistently be on the same page as her teammates. A trade would get Dallas some more pieces, and Arike is still very talented , but time to move on

I like Arike but she's been struggling since they drafted Paige. I think a change of scenery and her coming off the bench would give her her spark back

I’ve tried to give Arike grace as she’s used to playing hero ball but I can’t justify it anymore. what she does on the defensive end doesn’t counteract the inconsistency on the offensive end. She said in unrivaled that she doesn’t want to come off the bench so I don’t even think coming off the Bench would give her that spark. If she doesn’t figure it out my the trade deadline id look to trade her.

Yes this and they should’ve let Alanna smith recover fully instead of trying to sprinkle her in. Imagine the defensive powerhouse that the Dallas wings could’ve been in the mid to late season with Alanna smith at 100% and Azzi Fudd

The thing is the wings know their big three is Paige, azzi, and Jess. They tried to differ to her last night and it cost them. Azzi is a rhythm shooter who needs shots consistently throughout the game. She was 3-3 and then they differed to arike who went 1-5 in that stretch. If they want azzi to carry defensively, and put up numbers offensively, they can’t mess up her rhythm by differing to arike

She needs to come off the bench, Awak needs to come off the bench, Alysha Clark needs to be the last option off the bench and my last big change when Paige is sitting Azzi needs to run point for around 75% of the time.

She’s had incredible games and at the end of the game you’re like.. she had 9 FGA? It’s sick. You watch her liberty, Aces, Seattle, Portland games and you’re like.. she’s a flawless basketball player and then turn around and do whatever shit this last Aces game was. Honestly, the comparison I keep coming back to is Monta Ellis and the Warriors. Monta was a really good player but once Golden State fully committed to building around Steph and the style of basketball he represented, that’s when everything changed. Arike is the most clear definition of “the dynasty starts after you.”
