@_p.moondritee: Jennie Kim and Lalisa Manoban had been best friends for ten years. Ten. Years. And according to everyone around them, they had spent at least eight of those years acting like a couple. The funny thing? Neither of them noticed. Or at least that's what they kept telling themselves. They met during their first year of college. And no, it wasn't some magical encounter. It started with an argument. Jennie had just bought herself an iced americano before class. She placed it on a table while digging through her bag for her student ID. When she looked up again, someone was drinking from it. "...Excuse me?" The girl holding the cup blinked. "...Yes?" "That's my coffee." The girl frowned. "No, it's mine." Jennie pointed at the cup. "Then why does it say Jennie on it?" The girl slowly turned the cup. Sure enough. JENNIE Written in bold marker. Silence. "...Oh." Jennie crossed her arms. "Oh?" The girl groaned. "Okay, that's embarrassing." "It really is." "I thought it was mine." "You thought wrong." The girl laughed despite herself. "Fine. I'll buy you another one." "You better." Five minutes later, they were sitting together with two iced americanos. By the end of the conversation, Jennie learned the girl's name was Lalisa Manoban. By the end of the semester, they somehow knew each other's schedules better than their own. By the end of college... They were inseparable. Neither of them remembered exactly when it happened. It just did. Somewhere between late-night study sessions, group projects, spontaneous food trips, and helping each other survive exams... They became each other's favorite person. — Years later... Lisa opened her own dance studio. Jennie built a successful career in marketing. Different careers. Different schedules. Yet somehow... Every day still ended with them together. Whether it was dinner, coffee, grocery shopping, or simply sitting beside each other while doing absolutely nothing. Being apart felt strange. Being together felt normal. — One evening, Lisa was sitting on Jennie's couch while complaining about her landlord. "She raised my rent again." Jennie looked up from her laptop. "Again?" "Again." Lisa dramatically fell backward. "I swear she's trying to get rid of me." Jennie laughed. "So move." "I'm trying." "Everything decent is expensive." Jennie hummed. Then casually said, "...Move in with me." Lisa sat upright. "What?" Jennie shrugged. "We're together every day anyway." Lisa stared. Jennie continued. "You leave clothes here." "You leave snacks here." "You somehow have skincare products in my bathroom." Lisa pointed at her. "You've been using my moisturizer." "That's not the point." "That is absolutely the point." Jennie rolled her eyes. "We can split expenses." "You'll save money." Lisa remained quiet. Jennie looked away. "And..." "And?" Jennie suddenly became interested in her laptop. "It'd be nice." Lisa smiled. "What would?" Jennie's ears turned slightly pink. "Coming home and knowing you're already here." For some reason, Lisa's heart skipped. But she ignored it. Instead she laughed. "That was surprisingly sweet." "Don't make it weird." "I'm making it weird." "Lisa." Lisa grinned. "Jennie." They stared at each other before laughing. Then Lisa extended her hand. "Roommates?" Jennie shook it. "Roommates." From that day on, it stopped being Jennie's condo. It became theirs. — Years passed. Their social media accounts became suspiciously full of each other. Coffee dates. Vacation photos. Birthday surprises. Mirror selfies. Late-night convenience store runs. Lisa dancing in the kitchen. Jennie sleeping on the couch. Jennie posting Lisa. Lisa posting Jennie. Constantly. Their friends never let them live in peace. — One afternoon, Lisa was having lunch with her dance instructors. One of them suddenly asked, "So when are you asking Jennie out?" Lisa nearly choked. "What?" -⬇️ Continuation’s in the comments section ⬇️ - ——— #jenlisa #fypシ゚ #fyppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp #au #wlw

4️⃣ ✨ — Continuation — ✨ ——— Lisa looked down. "I just never said anything because I was scared." Her voice cracked slightly. "I didn't want to lose my best friend." The room fell quiet. Lisa forced a smile. "If you don't feel the same..." "I understand." "I'll always choose our friendship." Jennie stared at her. Then suddenly laughed. Not because it was funny. But because she couldn't believe it. Ten years. Ten years. And they had both been suffering alone. Before Lisa could panic... Jennie stepped forward. Held her face. And kissed her. This time there was no uncertainty. No hesitation. Only relief. When they pulled apart, Jennie smiled so brightly it almost hurt to look at. "Idiot." Lisa blinked. "What?" "I love you too." Tears immediately filled Lisa's eyes. Jennie laughed. "I've loved you since college." Lisa stared. "You're kidding." "I'm not." Lisa groaned. "We are so stupid." "We really are." Jennie intertwined their fingers. "So." Lisa smiled. "So." "We take things slowly?" Lisa nodded. "No rushing." "No pressure." "Just us." Jennie squeezed her hand. "I can do that." Lisa squeezed back. "I've already waited ten years." Jennie laughed. "What's a little longer?" — — END —

1️⃣ ✨ — Continuation — ✨ ——— Lisa nearly choked. "What?" "You heard me." "We're friends." The entire table groaned. "Friends don't look at each other like that." Lisa blinked. "Like what?" "Like your day immediately improves the second she walks into the room." Lisa scoffed. "That's ridiculous." "It isn't." "We're basically sisters." The table erupted into protests. "No." "Absolutely not." "Please stop saying that." Lisa laughed. None of them believed her. — Unfortunately for Jennie... Her friends were exactly the same. "You know you're in love with Lisa, right?" Jennie almost dropped her phone. "No." "Jennie." "No." "You literally drove forty minutes just because she said she forgot to eat lunch." "She was busy." "You bought her flowers after her dance recital." "She was stressed." "You let her choose what to watch." Jennie looked horrified. "...Okay, now you're just making things up." Her friends stared. "That's your strongest defense?" Jennie immediately changed the subject. Then came their college reunion. The entire batch gathered at a Samgyupsal restaurant. Old classmates. Old memories. Old stories. Everyone had changed. Some were married. Some had children. Some were engaged. Some were divorced. Life had moved forward. Jennie and Lisa arrived together. As expected. And sat beside each other. As expected. Halfway through dinner, one classmate pointed at them. "You two." Lisa looked up. "What?" "What exactly are you?" Jennie immediately laughed. "Not this again." "No seriously." The classmate leaned forward. "We graduated ten years ago." "You still live together." "You still arrive together." "You still leave together." "You still spend every holiday together." Another classmate added, "And somehow both of you are still single." The table laughed. Lisa groaned. "We're best friends." "Only best friends?" "Yes." "Nothing else?" "No." Someone looked unconvinced. "What about when Jennie spent an entire week helping Lisa renovate her studio?" "What about Lisa flying home early from vacation because Jennie got sick?" The table collectively sighed. "You two are impossible." Jennie and Lisa exchanged a look. Then immediately looked away. —

3️⃣ ✨ — Continuation — ✨ ——— Jennie leaned closer. Slowly. Giving Lisa every opportunity to stop her. Lisa didn't. Their foreheads touched first. A small smile appeared on Jennie's face. "So I'm not imagining this?" Lisa shook her head. "No." Jennie's eyes softened. Neither knew who moved first. Maybe both. Maybe neither. Their first kiss was gentle. A question asked after ten years of silence. And answered immediately. When they finally pulled apart, both of them were smiling. Laughing. Almost disbelieving. "I can't believe we waited ten years." Lisa whispered. Jennie rested her forehead against hers. "I know." And for the first time... Neither of them had to pretend. The next morning... Sunlight spilled through the curtains. Lisa slowly opened her eyes. Then immediately froze. Jennie was beside her. Very beside her. Jennie woke moments later. Their eyes met. "...Morning." "...Morning." Silence. Both immediately looked elsewhere. Lisa suddenly found the ceiling fascinating. Jennie became deeply interested in the blanket. A few seconds later they accidentally looked at each other again. Then quickly looked away. Lisa laughed first. "Oh my God." Jennie buried her face in a pillow. "I know." "We're acting like teenagers." "I know." The awkwardness continued throughout breakfast. Stolen glances. Nervous smiles. Accidental hand touches. Neither knows what to say. Until Lisa finally spoke. "We should talk." Jennie nodded immediately. "Yeah." A few moments later, they stood in the kitchen. Facing each other. Jennie took a deep breath. "About last night..." Lisa listened. "We were drinking." Jennie rubbed the back of her neck. "Maybe we got carried away." "Maybe it was the alcohol." "I don't want you to feel pressured because—" "Jennie." Jennie stopped talking. Lisa smiled nervously. Then finally said it. "I like you." Jennie's eyes widened. Lisa laughed softly. "No." She shook her head. "That's not true." Jennie waited. "I love you." Silence. "I've loved you for years." "Since college." —

2️⃣ ✨ — Continuation — ✨ ——— Hours later, several bottles of soju had disappeared. The reunion ended. Jennie and Lisa somehow made it back to their condominium. Barely. Lisa kicked off her shoes and collapsed onto the couch. "I'm never drinking again." Jennie laughed. "You say that every time." "And I mean it every time." Silence settled. Comfortable. Familiar. Until Lisa suddenly spoke. "You know..." Jennie hummed. "I kept thinking about what everyone said." Jennie looked over. Lisa hugged a pillow. "I realized something." "What?" Lisa hesitated. Then quietly asked, "Why are you still here?" Jennie frowned. "What do you mean?" Lisa shrugged. "I mean..." "You could've settled down already." "You could've gotten married." "You could've moved out years ago." Her voice softened. "So why are you still living with me?" Jennie stared. Then laughed quietly. "That's funny." "What?" "I was about to ask you the same thing." Lisa blinked. "What?" Jennie sat beside her. "You own a successful dance studio." "You're beautiful." "You've had people ask you out." "So why do you keep coming home here?" Neither answered. For the first time in years... Neither had a joke ready. The room suddenly felt smaller. Quieter. Their eyes met. Neither looked away. Years of friendship. Years of memories. Years of feelings neither dared to name. All sitting between them. Jennie swallowed. Then stood. Slowly walking closer. Lisa's heartbeat thundered. "Jennie..." Jennie stopped in front of her. Close. Very close. Close enough to see every tiny detail in Lisa's eyes. "You know..." Jennie whispered. "If we're really just best friends..." Lisa held her breath. "...Why does everyone keep asking us the same question?" Lisa laughed nervously. "I don't know." Jennie smiled softly. "I think I do." The air seemed to disappear from the room. Jennie's hand gently brushed a loose strand of hair behind Lisa's ear. The gesture was so familiar. Yet somehow completely different. "I've wanted to do this for a long time." Lisa stared at her. Her heart felt ready to explode. Yet she didn't move away. Not even an inch. Jennie leaned closer. —
