@thesimplenorm: Same camera. Same setup. One lighting change. Wait for the before vs after and you’ll see exactly why. In the first clip, the light is placed directly overhead. It technically lights the scene — but it removes contrast, kills the shadows, and makes everything feel flat. I move the light to the shadow side of the camera. Nothing else changes… same setup, same camera, same shot. But suddenly the image has depth, contrast, and that cinematic feel most creators are chasing. This is one of the simplest lighting tricks I use when filming content at my desk setup and gaming setup, and it works whether you’re filming with a camera or just your phone. You don’t always need new gear to make your videos look better. Sometimes you just need to move the light. Watch the before and after, then try this in your own setup and see the difference.
