@conrad.taylor: I am honored to introduce my newest record — TEAR DOWN THIS WALL. My Opa was born in Berlin in the middle of World War II. After his apartment building was destroyed during a bombing raid, his family fled to southwestern Germany, where he eventually met my Oma. After the war, Germany was split in two. Families were divided. The Berlin Wall marked that division. And the day “Die Mauer” finally fell was one of the greatest moment’s of my Opa’s life. In 2026, we have not learned our lessons. Our leaders still speak of walls and strike our hearts with calls for division. I thought it’d be poignant to use the words of a former conservative hero to call out the shameful conservative isolationist policy of today. After the fall of the wall, raves became the place for reunification and togetherness.
