@kohkim: The Micron trade isn't actually Micron — it's the names one layer underneath it. Micron can't make a single one of its advanced memory chips alone. A few names sit one layer down and tend to get pulled along every time memory ramps: TSMC (TSM) makes the base layer under the stack, Amkor (AMKR) and ASE (ASX) do the advanced packaging that turns raw stacks into finished parts, Adeia (ADEA) licenses the bonding tech that lets the stacks get taller without overheating, and KLA (KLAC) sells the inspection machines every new memory factory has to buy before it ships a good chip. NVIDIA (NVDA) is the odd one out — not a supplier underneath Micron, but the customer at the other end that all this memory is racing toward. Important: this is not the whole supply chain, just a handful of names I'd start digging into. Save this — and comment NEWSLETTER if you want the deeper breakdown of how I think about each layer. — ⚠️ Not financial advice. I may hold positions in some names. im in the tech industry for 26 years and one thing and probably the most important, is ASML…. Without asml, there is no micron, no tsmc, no intel, no samsung

Micron (and SK Hynix/Samsung) use Applied Materials (AMAT) special tools for HBM 3D stacking

Micron don't necessarily need to buy new KLA machine for newer memory chips. KLA machine are used all over semiconductor manufacturing facilities

I think that this post is missing the point. The memory volume is constrained and not increasing. The prices have increased 300%+ and the margins have increased. KLA is the only company who would benefit from this due to new Micron fabs at the end of 2027. The other companies are getting similar volume as before. A couple of companies are benefiting from new HBM technology.
