@heydrrob: This is the third mistake that I see from my patients that are usually hurting their shoulder while exercising. Whether you’re doing chin ups or lat pulldowns, if your shoulder blade isn’t retracted before pulling through the motion, it is in a detrimental position. 👏Starting position is super important! If you start from a protracted position, you’re putting a lot of pressure on the front of your shoulder. Get into a retracted position, let the bar come away from you, protract a little bit, then retract again. I hope you enjoyed this series on how to improve your shoulders!
